We recommend booking as soon as you know you when you’ll travel. Our tours can be quite popular so it’s best to secure your spot as soon as possible.
Our tours have no age limits. Travelers have spanned from young children all the way to 70 year old couples! All have one thing in common: wanting to discover and enjoy the wonders outside of Lima.
Yes! Solo travelers make up a good portion of our groups and they have a great time, meeting a bunch of like-minded people that quickly become great friends.
<p>Your credit card details are stored with our payment processing company who are certified by Visa and Mastercard here in Peru. They are audited every year and have to meet the most stringent of controls regarding credit card data.</p>
Yes, all day trips purchased can be cancelled, but unfortunately we cannot give you full refunds as we need to cover our own costs involved in refunding including the fees involved. As a result, the following are the percentages that we offer on refund to customers who need to cancel their trip for whatever reason:
Once booked, all passes incur a minimum cancellation fee of 20% of the ticket price.
-Within 7 days of departure: 40% charge of the ticket price
-With 3 days of departure: 60% charge of the ticket price
-Within 24 hours, no show or after departure: 100% charge or NO REFUND of the ticket price.
Remember, the great thing about Escape From Lima is our flexibility, so whilst you may need to cancel your trip now, you can simply change the date of travel. The other option, of course, is to try to transfer your ticket to a friend or somebody else you know.
Each booking confirmation will be sent to the email address given upon booking. If you put a different email than yours for your travel partner, his or her booking confirmation has been sent to that email, don’t worry!

Please remember that Peru is -5GMT so 56 hours behind the UK and 6/7 hours behind continental Western Europe (daytime saving adds an hour) and 15 hours behind Australia/NZ. This means we might not reply to you instantly. Although that being said, we do have a reputation to replying quickly!
You will receive a confirmation email within 2 hours confirming your purchase. Once you hop on our bus, you will receive your Escape From Lima wristband by your guide which acts as your ticket!
Hostels average $9 a night and private room prices start at $20 depending on the quality of the hostel or hotel. 3 meals (breakfast / lunch / dinner) will average around $12-$20 a day. Large beers generally cost $3-4 and water around about $0.50. Tours are obviously an additional cost.

There is now an official bus service connecting Miraflores to Lima Airport (Jorge Chavez). Airport Express Lima is much safer and cheaper than a taxi. Their luxury buses are equipped with free Wi-Fi and have USB charging ports on every seat. Tickets are $8 one way and a return ticket costs $15.
The Peruvian Sol or soles (PEN) is the national currency, although US dollars are generally accepted in most places in the big cities up to a certain amount.
This applies to hotels, tours and certain upscale stores. Smaller stores and shops usually do not except dollars.
